What is the GetHealth app and how does it work?

GetHealth's mobile and online app aims to make health simple, social and fun for you as its user. It helps you to form positive health habits which will help you in achieving your personal health goals. We have a 5 minute demo video of the app available at>

How do I sign-up to GetHealth?

You can sign-up to GetHealth via a sign-up link in the invite email which will be sent to you from your company administrator. The link will bring you in to a sign-up form on our website which asks you: your name, your email, to create a username/password, to select which company department you are in, the option of uploading a photo of yourself for the app and to agree with the terms and conditions. Once this form is complete, you will receive a confirmation email which will invite you to then download the app from the relevant app store or access it in the web.

I downloaded the app from the app store but can't create an account?

You must create an account online before you can access the app. To do this you must complete your company's online sign-up form via our website. This form can be accessed from the sign-up link in the invite email which will be sent to you from your company administrator.

What browsers can I use to complete the sign-in form?

The sign-up form can be completed on all modern browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome.

What platforms is GetHealth's app available for?

GetHealth is available on iOS and Android devices and is available in the web (optimization is for Google Chrome only). Users can access there platforms from the following links:

I have a Blackberry, can I access the GetHealth app?

We are not currently available for Blackberry. We recommend that anyone who wants to use the app who doesn't have an iPhone or an Android device that they use it in the web via a Google Chrome browser

I have Internet Explorer, can I use GetHealth in this browser?

The app in the web is only customized for Google Chrome. It may work on other browsers such as Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer however for optimum performance we recommend using it in Google Chrome.

I forgot my password, how can I reset it?

You can reset your password by clicking on the following link and entering in your username or email address. An email will be sent to you explaining how to reset it.

Can I log points retrospectively for previous days?

Currently users cannot retrospectively log points. We try to provide daily reminders to users through push notifications to smart phones and weekly report emails to help you stay engaged with the campaign on a daily basis. The ability to log points for previous days is a feature we will be developing for our version 2 due for release in 2014.

I do not want to appear on the social leaderboard, how can I remove myself from it?

When in the app, you can click the menu button in the top left hand corner of the homepage and then click on the 'settings' tab. When in the settings section, you can scroll down to the 'privacy' section and where it says 'Display on Leaderboard' you can toggle the button to off.

Will my employer see my activity in the app?

We do not feed back your specific engagement to your employer. Your GetHealth company admin will have access to the high level information such as the total number of engaged employees and the total number of points earned within the app. No personal details will be shared with your company's administrator.

How much time will I need to be spending in the app each day?

Frequency of engagement differs from person to person but typically we see our average users spend between 1-2 minutes per day in the app.

Where does GetHealth get the health information it promotes in the app?

GetHealth works with a team of health and wellness experts to compile the health information presented in the app. The current campaignsrunning in the app are based on the book by US physician Dr. Mark Pettus called 'Change your mind, change your health.' Dr. Pettus' philosophy is about encouraging people to make incremental changes to their lifestyle which lead to sustained health habits and ultimately a healthier life.
